I need O rings and lower bumper for Rainco R1B 7c 16 uphostery stapler

"O" rings are sold by diameter, thickness and type of material, any auto parts store can likely match up what you have. I would use a material called "Viton" not just rubber, holds up better to chemicals

What should I do if my brand new Fasco pneumatic upholstery stapler is leaking air through the tail end...not the hose, but the two holes in the handle? Any suggestions?

Hi Anonymus,

What's happened if the driver blade has stopped in mid stroke, the air will escape. Quickest was 'round this is to take the airline off the tool, then find some scrap wood, place the tool on it as though you're firing it, and in THIS ORDER... pull the trigger and re-connect the airline at the same time. This usually sorts this out. Regardless of the tool make and model this will happen to most users sometime....

I have a Fasco F1B7C-16 upholstery stapler that won't shoot. There's no mechanism to push the staples forward -- is that normal? The instructions are completely useless ... Help!

The staples are loaded in from the bottom of the unit.
Pull out the staple tray all the way to the rear then turn the unit upside down and drop the new staples into the grove in the unit.
Push the tray back into the unit and you are ready to go!

Staple jams by driver blade in gun and I have to dismantle nose to get it out. Empire Rainco 7-16.

The problem is wear on the sides of the driver blade. With the constant up/down movement of the driver against either side of the nose plate, it eventually narrows enough to allow part of the fine wire 71 series staple to find it's way between the driver blade and the inside wall of the nose plate. A new driver blade cures this completely. Rainco tackers have become a bit rare but the good news is, they're actually manufactured by Fasco and the Fasco driver fits into the Rainco piston by the removal of a single pin to allow the old blade out, replace with the new Fasco blade, re-insert the pin into the piston, then re-assemble the gun and you're away.

I have an older Fasco stapler, it is orange in color. S3G 16 is number on it. The part that pushes out the staple has a piece of staple stuck in it. How can I get this out?

Some models have small screws on the face plate that can be unscrewed to release pressure or a spring clip to release. You can also push the plunger back into stapler with a thin narrow srewdriver, the staple may fall out.

FixYa RainCo R1b 7C -16

Hello; If the gun is AIR operated, adjust the AIR presure DOWN on the regulator on the air compressor tank? If it is electric operated! there should be a depth DIAL (say 1-8, 1 being the least depth and 8 being the most; depending on the hardnest of the item being stapled) trial & error to be tried on a scrap piece first......! hope this helps, John.
