SOURCE: th8000 does not match another thermometer inside home

Is the thermostat mounted near a lamp or other heat source?
Is the wall warm from ducts in the wall or a refrigerator on the other side?
The thermostats are usually pretty accurate. Most times I find some other influence on the thermostat causes the problem.
The Honeywell 8000 series also has a feature accessed through the installer setup menu, that will allow the temp display to be changed + or - 8 or 9 degrees.
Check the manual or Honeywell's website for a .pdf if you need it.
Hope this helps.

Have an Ottlite Desk Lamp, Model 58337R--What bulb is used?

The OttLite desk lamp, Model 58337R, typically uses a specific type of bulb designed to replicate natural daylight and provide excellent illumination for reading or tasks. The bulb used in OttLite lamps is often a compact fluorescent light (CFL) or light-emitting diode (LED) bulb with the following specifications:

  1. Bulb Type: OttLite lamps typically use a specialized OttLite bulb, which is designed to mimic natural daylight and reduce glare and eyestrain.
  2. Wattage: The wattage of OttLite bulbs can vary, but they are typically in the range of 13 watts to 25 watts. Check the label or user manual for your specific model to determine the recommended wattage.
  3. Base Type: OttLite bulbs often have a pin-style base (often called a "PL" base), which is different from the screw-type bases commonly found in standard household bulbs. Make sure to select a bulb with the correct pin-type base to fit your lamp's socket.
  4. Color Temperature: OttLite bulbs are known for their specific color temperature, which is designed to provide a natural and bright light. Look for bulbs labeled as "daylight" or with a color temperature in the range of 5000K to 6500K for the most accurate color representation.
  5. Lumen Output: OttLite bulbs typically have a higher lumen output compared to traditional incandescent bulbs. This ensures adequate brightness for reading and tasks.
To find a replacement OttLite bulb for your Model 58337R desk lamp, you can visit OttLite's official website or contact their customer support. They can provide you with the exact bulb specifications and help you locate a compatible replacement bulb for your specific lamp model.

Additionally, you may be able to find OttLite replacement bulbs at local lighting stores or online retailers specializing in lighting products.

How to change fehrenheit to Celsius

Can you give us the model number and brand name of the thermometer you are trying to change? If you have a calculator you can do the math. To convert temperatures in degrees Fahrenheit to Celsius, subtract 32 and multiply by .5556 (or 5/9). Here are some examples for you:

Example: Convert 26° Celsius (a nice warm day) to Fahrenheit

First: 26° × 9/5 = 234/5 = 46.8
Then: 46.8 + 32 = 78.8° F

Example: Convert 98.6° Fahrenheit (normal body temperature) to Celsius

First: 98.6° ? 32 = 66.6
Then: 66.6 × 5/9 = 333/9 = 37° C

My oven has had three thermostats fitted recently and an oven thermometer is regestering about 50 degrees cooler. what cani do?

To get a more accurate indication, set the oven to 350 degrees. Place your thermometer on the lowest shelf, take a reading. Place it in the middle shelf, wait for it to stabilize (5 minutes or so), take a reading, place it on the top shelf, wait 5 minutes take a reading, Average out all 3 readings, the average should be close to the thermostat setting.

Low temperature Only hitting 300 degrees Has gas It's warm outside as well

Two problems - Two Solutions: Turn the LP tank valve to OFF. Disconnect the grill hose from the tank and do not reinstall for 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes, reconnect the hose to the tank and turn the tak valve ON VERY, VERY SLOWLY (slow motion, slow). When the tank valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank and turn the flame height to HIGH? Does the flame height look correct? If so, light the remaining burners the same way. If all the flame heights appear to be normal for the highest setting, you've solved the problem.

Second problem & solution: The grill thermometer may be incorrect (as they often are). If you don't have one, buy an inexpensive oven thermometer (that normally sits on the oven rack) and place it on the cooking grate of your grill, toward the front of the grill. Once in place, preheat your grill as you normally would with the hood closed and at about the 15 minute mark, compare the temperature on the two thermometers. If they're within a few degrees of each other, your grill thermometer is accurate. If the Oven thermometer reads higher (more than a few degrees), the grill's T-Stat is faulty.

Personally, I always use an oven thermometer on my grill when grilling or baking anything.

Hope this helped to solve your problem. Please let me know and Happy Grilling!

How to set a temperture

Hello,

By keep your refrigerator or freezer too cold, it unnecessarily wastes electricity. The recommended temperature is 37 to 40 degrees for the fresh food compartment of the refrigerator. The recommended temperature for the freezer compartment is 5 degrees. If you have a separate freezer for long-term food storage, it should kept at 0 to -5 degrees.

The following steps below is how to set the temperature of your refrigerator.

The first thing you must know is that your refrigerator should be set at 37-38 degrees. Anything at 40 or higher and you are risking food born illness (food poisoning) or spoiling your food.

Step 2
Place your magnetic thermometer in the refrigerator.

Step 3
Set your dial on your refrigerator to the second lowest setting. (If your refrigerator is already equipped with a digital thermostat, simply set it for 37 or 38 degrees and do not move on to the next step)

Step 4
After 2 hours, check your thermometer reading. If your reading is 38 degrees, there is no need to go higher and you are ready to put your groceries in. Be sure not to open and close your refrigerator during these two hours or your temperature reading will be incorrect.

If your reading is higher than 38 degrees, move your dial up to the next coldest setting and repeat the steps every two hours until you reach the correct temperature for your refrigerator.

Step 5
Once you have reached the correct refrigeration temperature for your refrigerator, place the magnetic thermometer in the refrigerator permanently and watch for changes.

Typically, your refrigerator temperature will need to be adjusted with the seasons, a higher setting in the summer and a lower setting in the winter.

Hope this helpout and take care.

I am having LG GR-B352 YC , what is the best temperature that i can keep initially and future??

Generic instructions to set temperatures in fridges:

Many manufacturers design these appliances to operate at 0 degrees F in the freezer and 34 to 36 degrees F in the fresh food compartment.

To set the temperature correctly, fill a glass with water (8 to 12 ounces) and place a thermometer capable of indicating 32 degrees and up into the glass with water (if the temperature goes below 32 degrees, the water will freeze - so no need to find a thermometer that indicates any lower). Place the glass with the thermometer in it on a shelf and wait. Putting the thermometer in a glass of water helps preserve the temperature reading while the door is open. You can skip the water and glass if you want - but you'll need to read the temperature as soon as you open the door.

The freezer will require a thermometer capable of displaying 0 degrees F. Place it on a shelf where it can be seen readily - but preferably in the rear - between items (to prevent the warm air from driving the indicator up when opening the door to read it).

It will probably be easier to set the freezer temperature first. Adjust both the freezer and fresh food thermostats to mid-points (if the fridge is empty - otherwise skip this step). Adjust the freezer thermostat up or down as needed to reach the desired 0 degree F temperature.

Once the freezer adjustments are complete, adjust the fresh food compartment thermostat as needed up or down to reach the desired temperature for it.

If you fridge is fully stocked, it may take some time for the temperature to stabilize and warm / cool the fridge's contents completely. This is further affected by how often the door(s) are opened and for how long. 24 hours is often claimed - but you might be able to sneak an 8 - 12 hour soak before reading the thermometers.

After the temperatures are set, you may find that the lower part of the fresh food area is partially freezing - simply adjust the thermometer up *slightly* as needed.

Please rate this reply if it was helpful - good luck!

Oven will not achieve setpoint temperature.

You may not need anything. Most people test their oven with a dial type oven thermometer. They are slow to react and often not very accurate. When I test an oven or install a new thermostat, I use a digital thermometer with a remote temperature probe, hanging from the center of the oven, which shows the temp in tenths of a degree. I let the oven cycle on and off at least three times, then take the high and lower readings on the next cycle and average that out to see what the actual oven temp is. Most of the time, if there is a dial type thermometer in the oven it is very slow to react. After 3 to 5 cycles, they often show close to what the actual oven temp is, but the only way to know for sure is to use the more accurate digital thermometer. Most ranges with digital displays can be adjusted + or - about 35 degrees. Check your users manual for this info, but don't mess with it until you have checked the oven with a digital thermometer! Please don't bother rating this solution, as anything but a Fix-Ya drops my score. Thanks.
