Water flowing in would make noise. so no water, no noise. Bad water valve or connection, or supply line shut off.

My PixiePlus Singer is making a weird noise and doesn't sew!

try changing the needle
rethread the machine top & bobbin
clean under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for lint or loose
threads
if these suggestions don't help, then it would be a good idea
to take the machine to a sewing machine shop to be serviced

My Maytag dishwasher model MDB7130AWB started making a grinding noise tonight during drain cycle. We just had some work done on the sprinkler system and the water main to the house as well as the check...

Shut off water to the machine, remove the hoses at the machine and inspect & clean the mesh filters in the water inlets. If dirt did get into the line, it would be from the water main work, not the sprinkler work.
It doesn't hurt to clean the machine filters.
However, I would be surprised if that would cause the noise. I think the machine has a mechanical problem.

My dishwasher doesn`t drain. there is water at the bottom at te end of every wash... what`s wrong? how can i fix it?

Hi
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

Broken water line or water heater, from winter freeze. When water is turned on tap water goes under the bunk bed area. Could this be the water heater or a hose in the area. We don't know the layout...

Depends on which tap you're turning ON. If it's cold water tap, it's probably a water line. If it's the hot water tap, it could also be a line. As heaters leak, whether the water tap is ON or NOT. Opening a tap valve doesn't cause the water heater to leak. The main question is, was the water heater's tank drained, before the Winter Freeze, when no one was using it? If it wasn't, there's a good chance the water heater will leak too

Hope this helps you solve the leaking water pipes problem. Please let me know Thanks.

Hi i have a whirlpool WFS1072AW Front loader 7.5 kg we load the washer as normal press start and then this horible noise comes from the back no water goes in just the noise like gears grinding

Hello Steve.

First off is this a new washer?
If so front load washes ship with retaining plugs / pins in the back. They do this to stablize the drum in shipping so it doesn't get damaged. Check the back and see if this is the case. There should be 4 or so to remove. Also don't throw these out, if you ever need to move you will need them to make sure the washer doesn't get damaged.

Hope this helps.
Good luck

Not draining and making noise

Hi

Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you’ll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. The noise you are hearing is from the drain pump.

Please note that dishwashers don’t drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn’t overheat.

Please post back for any further assistance.

Noise while not running

don;t worry;
all you need to do is lubricate the fan bearings with light machine oil and make sure the fan is not hitting anything
