I don't know. if moisture high, until resolved or repaired, consider using an electrical timer to shut it off and on for
your choice of cycles.

How do I remove the cabinet from a frigidaire dehumidifer?

Hey friend, thank you for your post!
I understand that you would like to remove the cabinet within your Frigidaire dehumidifier. Typically, the cabinet is not accessible. If you need to access anything internally within your dehumidifier I would suggest seeking assistance from a professional. Best regards! -Matt

I removed the pan and located the filter but it is difficult to remove. Is there another way to access it?

Unfortunately, other than dismantling the unit's cabinet, which I don't recommend. There's only one way to remove the filter. Sometimes there is a piece of plastic tape holding it in place. It was put there for shipping purposes. If it's there, remove and discard it.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Where, in the UK, can I obtain Amcor replacement parts?

the thermal break is there for a reason, the motor has overheated, if this was due to a towel or other item covering the unit great remove the the obstruction and replace the thermal break. however the major cause is that the bearings have dried up on the motor and it has started to seize, which means replacement.

Kenmore 54501 dehumidifier

Try this:
Remove *ALL* screws first! (you'd be surprised....)
Take a SMALL screwdriver, or better yet, thin putty knife. CAREFULLY insert it where the back seems loosest (usually half-way up), keep the blade fairly flat against the side and slowly work down. There are probably little tabs that snap into the side, and you want to pry them out (away from the side) without breaking them. Figure on finding two per side, near the top and bottom.

Hope this helps

Dehumidifier Error?

Same problem with Goldstar model DH404EY7 -- stop code 01 on startup, bucket full light blinks (drains to floor).

Replaced the main controller board to fix it.

For my model dehumidifer the part # is 6871A20888A, and cost $77.44 (not counting shipping) from Appliance Factory Parts. The Appliance Factory Parts web site also provides parts breakdown (exploded parts diagram) diagrams and service manuals in PDF form.

Broken Fan, Lost manual and Parts List

As I've recently posted a message, I've a similar unit with broken internal fan. I just placed an external fan in front of the unit and blowing front to back. With the air circulating, the unit is humming along happily and bucket fulls of water to harvest!! Don't bother fixing the fan motor, if that is the only problem, just place a small external fan instead.
