Browser search the term "drill fix generator" and follow instructions on how to use a regular electric drill to correct residual magnetism of a generator.
Testimonial: "We tried that, didn't do it for long though. The Intelligauge did come on while we were doing it but the gen never put out power. How long are you supposed to do it?"
It was working as long as we were spinning the drill but once we stopped, no more anything.
Well... I personally haven't used this method. You'll have to judge by the videos.
You may have to plug into each half of the duplex receptacle and execute as there are separate windings inside the genset for each half of the plug. Let me know how it goes.
Apparently you were producing some counter EMF, but not enough. Be sure to hold the drill trigger all the way ON while you spin the EMPTY chuck backwards. DO NOT tape the drill trigger ON.
You need to be aware that the very moment this works the drill will function and may catch you off guard if not prepared.
Best to use a simple single speed drill. There are some videos that show a second drill powering the drill attached to genset.
Ok, just curious but did the magnet from my husband's subwoofer that he sat on top of the generator cause it to lose emf? Cuz we used the generator like 12 hrs before that just fine
Not likely. But you should always disconnect all loads (or open breaker) before you shut it off.

here is a wiring diagram for that engine:
SOURCE: Generator stopped producing electricity
if the generator has been sitting for a while you might have to excite the magnets to start producing power. plug in a reversible drill and with the generator running turn the drill in the reverse direction by hand while holding the trigger in the forward position.

Bad capacitor. They cost 13 bucks. Call 800-445-1805 to buy one.

try checking the AVR card...or wireing....
if all of them r fine...chek the brushes

At the controller, you need to see if it is actually sending electricity out of the Generator/Alternator, have a look where the leads from the power making unit mates, (Think of it as a motor in reverse) onto the board. There should be an AC Voltage there, then, work back, or out from there, trace the Voltage until it stops, thats the problem... Check the Breaker isn't tripped or faulty too.
