My fridaire won't putcrushor block ice - Refrigerators

repairs should be performed by a qualified repair person. when replacing a filter make sure the filter properly installed. once secured get 3,1 gallon containers to purge the water line and reservoir. BEWARE! water may continue to run while flushing the water line. this is why you'll need 3 containers. once you are able to finish flushing the line and the water is no longer gray the flushing for the water dispenser is complete. dispose the ice in the container in the freezer. let the ice maker cycle a few hours then dispose the filtered ice. once copleted you're done.

Clean the heat-exchanger? If dirty, it won;t cool the ice fast enough...

Hello - If your ice maker has stopped producing ice completely, you can try to check the following:

1. It may be turned off. Look for the wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If the wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. If so, try one of these: If your ice maker has a small red plastic lever, lower it to lower the wire. If there's no plastic lever, simply lower the wire. In either case, the ice maker should begin producing ice again.

2. Also make sure that the temperature is 8 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. If the freezer is too warm, the ice maker won't cycle properly.

3. The ice maker fill tube may be blocked with ice. If so, melt the blockage using a hair dryer-but be careful to not melt any plastic parts!

4. Also replace the water shut-off valve or water-inlet valve, or both, if necessary. The ice maker head assembly may have broken parts. Look to see if the gears are broken. Check to see if the small plastic arms that rest against the ice rake are broken. If the ice maker head assembly is modular and you've found broken parts, you can just replace it.

you have to take apart the complete ice maker from inside the freezer as it has to be cleaned on a regular basis to operate properly. check with your owners manual, it tells you how to clean it.the ice cube shoot is the first to freeze up & block your flow of ice. it's not hard to do. all the best.

This problem is very common.The ice maker water passing line gets clogged or blocked by ice cube or gets frosted by ice or the water valve,which lets water to ice maker,tray, that valve gets faulty.

Its the problem of water inlet valve. It's a dual valve. This valve has two tubes in it. One for water dispenser and one for ice maker chamber. The one side of valve is working, but other side of the valve is not working. The valve is got stuck in one position

Not necessarily the themostat. It could be the internal fan that circulates the air from freezer to fridge or you have ice blocking the air flow.

i have the same fridge... same problem, except not only does it not dispense ice, it also dosent dispense the water too. i recently had a power outage, and when the fridge was turned back on the digital warmer and colder setting have been flashing 0 non stop making it unable to set temps... any suggestions?

Water Inlet Valve

Your icemaker's water inlet valve could be filled with ice. If it is, simply thaw the its water tube with a hair dryer to remove the blockage. Be careful to not melt any plastic parts with the blow dryer.

An icemaker's water inlet valve has a filtering screen to block minerals and other debris from entering into your ice cubes. It is possible that the water inlet valve's screen is blocked, and not allowing any water through to make ice. Clean out any built up debris you find. You should be able to pop the screen out of place with a screwdriver and then put it back in place with the screwdriver again once it is cleaned.

Alternatively, the water inlet valve itself may have become defective. You will have to test it. If the test proves the valve is defective, replace it.

Icecream is a tough call. Some brands have to many artaficial ingredients and that doesnt get solid. What temps are you getting in the freezer? Is everything else frozen solid?

check your name plate voltage and current rating, multiply it and the result is the wattage of the unit.
