Lower the refrig therm - if that does not do it then the assembly that regulates the amount of cold air that is being blown into refrig from freezer is sort of stuck on wide open position and your refrig is like a second freezer.
WR55X10942 Main Control Board WR55X10942 Main Control Board This sounds like motherboard failure. I am not sure what your model number is but that will be important should you have someone to help repair your refrigerator. These problems are common on the Artica Profile Models. I will be here to help you repair if you should choose, Thanks Sea Breeze
check for movement of the damper vent door between the refrige and freezer compartments if its frozen in place, defrost it as it can't throttle cold air in from the freezer,if this is ok and you have lost lights and replaced them and now they just "strobe" or flash dimly and the digital read-out display if so equipped in the refrige section and possibly there's a relay clicking in the rear of the unit too, then its the main-board thats defective in the rear area of the fridge
your main-board/motherboard is bad,a telltale sign is,if just recently had light bulbs burn out in the refrige compartment and now they strobe dimly and the digital temp readout is also out and you sometimes hear relays clicking back there, the board took a voltage surge and ruined the circuit trace, replacement is simple, unplug 3 harnesses and snap in new board and plug in new board and youre good to go
you need to replace the motherboard located in the lower rear area of the unit, when the refrigerator lights burn out it causes a surge and burns open the trace on this circuit board, another clue is if the lights dimly and you can hear a rapid clicking in the rear of the unit its a relay trying to latch, your symptoms you described above describe this problem that its the motherboard, this is a big problem with these type of refrigerators, when you remove the board from the plastic case some are in you may see a burned spot on the plastic case and on the board, this is your problem
there is one of 2 possibilities, either the damper door between the refrige and freezer compartments is frozen shut due to ice build up and needs thaw out,the cold control that controls this door is bad or the mother board on the lower rear apron behind a cover panel is defective,if you have had light bulbs go out in the refrige compartment and now the refrige part does not cool and the temp light readout is dark this is a good indication its the motherboard, also if the lights are strobing and you can hear a relay clicking
Do you see a light coat of frost in freezer section about 12 inches up (defrost problem indication) ? Has the icemaker slowed down a bit in ice production ? What is the refrigerator control set on ? When you turn the freezer up completely , it cuts off the cold air flow which cools the refrig section . If refrig control is set mid way , turn it up higher , so refrig will run longer , but lower the freezer setting so some cold air will enter the refrig section . Also check to see if the freezer fan is working .
