SOURCE: Ice maker water wont shut off continues to run even when tray is full
The ice maker water fill solenoid may be leaking by and needs to be replaced. If you disconnect the water line from the solenoid and you see it continues to flow water then that valve is not seating properly. Another slight possiblility is the ice maker motor module gear is stuck in the fill position. See the attached link for a diagram. If the geared wheel just happens to get stopped in the "fill" position it will fill with full force water. If there is only a trickle of water then the soleinoid valve is the more likely source of the problem. http://www.partselect.com/Schematics/Maytag/AA56-20.gif http://www.partselect.com/Schematics/Maytag/AA56-16.gif

are u sure that model # Is right.. DOnt come up in any of my model data bases Seems like u might of got a bad icemaker.. if the water is coming into the icemaker from the water valve.. icemaker has to have power, to do that... all funtions after that would be controled by the iceaker .. The only other thing i can think of is your refrigerator has to be a certain temp to activate icemaker somewhere around 0 give or take some to be safe

I did fix it! I purchased a new ice tray for this refrigerator. The new tray has a higher lip on the front left of the tray, which helps to prevent the water from coming out of the tray. Also, while I can't really explain it because the higher edge is all that is different from the original tray, since changing out the tray, the tray returns to a level position after dumping.

theres whats called a cam inside of the ice maker and that is more than like;ly the problem. you can but your own ice maker from place like first service. good luck.
SOURCE: icemaker will not dump the ice into tray
Make sure that an ice cude is not stuck somewhere in the maker. I had a simular problem and that was it.
