SOURCE: Drive belt replacement on a Miele T230C tumble dryer
You must route the belt either in front of or slip it behind the drum to get it down to the drive wheel. You should remove the front panel to be able to do this the best.

I've just had this fault on this model, Its caused by a leak of water into the tray at the bottom, which activates a sensor to shut the water in flow off and thus prevent a flood. The fix is as for a posting by halldor to a question about the w4146 - ie.
Turn off and unplug, drain by the filter plug, lean the machine forward - the water flows out the bottom, plug in and it should work.
You do need to establish the cause of the leak first. Mine was a draw cord on some trousers dangling out of the door, thus preventing a proper seal, the water dribbled down the front and into the tray. Miele stated it could only be fixed by their service mechanics - I'd have had to wait 10 days!

Simply disconnect it. Water completes the circuit - so you want to make sure it is open.
