In some models of LCD TVS; the backlight inverter and its T'Con board will be a part of the panel itself, and will be a built-in type inside the LCD panel. If so, they can't be replaced. In this case; a panel replacement is the only repair. For some other models, the backlight inverter section circuit will be a part of the main power supply regulator [SMPS]. To such sets, the power supply section circuit too should trouble shoot. Contact any service technician. The circuit will differ with models and versions.

SOURCE: Hi i have a seiki SE50FY28 led tv that has no sound or picture. i did the flashlight test and i do see the menu appear. what part do i need to replace??

sounds like a backlight failure (fluorescent tube that illuminates the display element)

can be a little tricky to replace as requires significant disassembly

SOURCE: How do I determine if it's the LED Driver or the LED lights that are bad on my LG LED TV?

If it was the LEDs, then you should still have some working. My first thought would be the LED driver circuits.
