What is a tsunami and how it forms.
Hello Anonymous,
What a question! I hope you're in no danger from a tsunami because that's definitely something you don't want to tangle with. Tsunamis are caused (usually) by an underwater earthquake, eruption or some other anomaly. They in turn create waves that are truly killers. Remember the tsunami of several years ago? Scores of people vanished and were never heard from again. A word of caution, however. If you do find yourself in a tsunami, go inland immediately, and please bear this in mind; if you think the first wave is bad, subsequent waves are even worse. You're better off on land than on the ocean during a tsunami. Tsunami waves can travel very fast, upwards of 300-400 miles per hour so you can't outrun them. Hope this answered your question.
