Hello Patt, the configuration of the speakers will depend on their height, surface to cover, and distance between them, as well as the amplifier to use
As an initial test, put the selector switch of each speaker for the 10-watt position and test the result
Depending on this test, you will have to raise or lower the power, to achieve the best coverage
I hope you serve the suggestion

your wall speakers may not be connected.... disconnect each speaker from the selector box and test with a small AAA battery to see if they are connected by putting the battery between each speaker's wires , you will hear it crackle ,then gradually connect each wall speaker onto the speaker connector box . If the first set does not work i suggest there may be a problem with your speaker selector box . Good luck
SOURCE: Trying to hook up Zone B stereo speakers in two additional rooms.
The infrared mentioned by the manual is most likely an extension possibility to use the remote control in each room, forget that part.
What you need to do is quite simpel, after connecting all speakers, you should indicate in the setup menu of each zone which speakers are connected and do as follows:
in main room select 5.1 setup, for the other zone select only the left and right front speakers.
Your EXTRA SP indicates the extra speakers for 7.1 setup and when set to zone B it recognises only 1 speaker.
So read carefully the manual how to connect Zone 2 speakers and connect that way, than carefully walk through the setup menu to setup the zone 2 correctly.
SOURCE: Trouble connecting marine amp to stereo
Hello lizskates814,
You can use either the high level (speaker) or the low-level (RCA's) inputs to the amp, but not both. Choose whichever one sounds the best or is more convenient to install and leave the other disconnected.
Hope this helps.

Go down to your local RadioShack or any place that sells wire of any sorts (heck, even Walmart might carry it now) and ask them for speaker wire. I'm not sure what the impedance of this particular model is, but you should be able to find it printed on the back of the speakers, or in your user's manual. This guide will help you to identify what size speaker wires you need, that way when you go in looking for speaker wire, you'll at least sound like you know what you're doing.
