Lost sound how to get sound back

Was the sound loss for everything or just TV?
Does it come back if you hit the tv?
What was the fix the last time you got sound back?

Can you tell us what device you are using that lost sound? A computer, a CD player, an MP3 player or what? Knowing that will help us answer your question. :)

If you are sure that there is a sound that has been lost on your system how to reinstall it . You will have to Right click >> MY COMPUTER >>then click on PROPERTIES>>from there click on >>HARDWARE>>then click on the sound icon and click on the sound that has been installed before and right click it .>>>then click PROPERTIES>> from there click on ROLL BACK and you will see it going and going until fully installed back ... but if that doesnt work then download another sound driver from the internet ..that is compatible with your operating system.

what is the OS in your notebook? considering its vista or win 7, i'l give you the steps...
1. go to device manager.
2. click on the little [+] sign beside Sound, Video and Game controller.
3. right click on the one which is listed below that.
4. click on Update Driver Software.
5. then click on Search Automatically for updated Driver software.

Check the speaker connection - should be plugged into the green jack on back of PC. Do your speakers have a power light to indicate they are on? Check power cable.

This is generally a driver glitch. Uninstall the sound drivers from the device manager, then reboot. The machine will find the sound card and reinstall the drivers automatically. This should bring your sound back.

I have this same problem with my computer.  The only way I have been able to get sound back is to uninstall the drivers.  It sucks because I have to re install them everytime I use my logitech camera.  I have a HP laptop.   I hope someone has a better solution.
