The freezer continue to ice up on the back panel wall where the vents are located. I try to set the temp differently and ice continues to build up on that wall only. How to fix this.
Try two different things: 1. Move (if possible) your fridge out from he back wall about 2 inches. 2. Vacuum the vent areas and underneath coils. Sounds like the flow of air is not properly circulating.
3. Call the toll free watts line of the mfg. ask fot tech services and describe the problem...Be sure you have the complete Model # and Serial # in hand before speaking to anyone!

It sounds like the freezer has leaking door seals and air is getting in to the freezer compartment. Your temperatures are set about right. Regards

Sounds like a defrost problem. Check to see if
there is any frost buildup in the back wall of the freezer. If so, it is not
defrosting as it should.
If you don’t know what these are then unplug the machine and let the ice
melt in the freezer overnight with the door open. Then try it the next day, if
is cooling fine then you need to have a service person replace one of the above
items.

Generally, icing is the result of too much water vapor inside the unit, blockage of the circulation channels and too much packing in of the box. The water vapor is generally caused by: uncapped items in the fridge, opening the door too often, humid conditions, bad door seals. There is of course, there is a possibility that the defrost cycle on the unit is not working. About once a day, depending on the brand, you should notice that the fans and compressor don't run and you should hear a bit of creaking, sloshing or other strange noises as the ice melts. If this is not happening, your defrost timer or the coil it heats could be bad.

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer
are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of
cold air
check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In
most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board.
If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.
