Maytag MHWE200XW00 Washer fills about 1/3 to 1/2 then stops and give me "LF" error signal.
Remove the water supply hoses. Look in the back of the water valve and you will see a screen that most likely has lots of debris, especially if you are on well water supply. Take a pair of needle nose pliers and remove the screen. Rinse the screen thoroughly and replace it in the valve. BE SURE TO REPLACE THE SCREEN! Also check the hose washers as sometimes they also have screens. If they are dirty, then remove, rinse, and replace.
SOURCE: whirlpool/cabrio washer reads error LF and will not fill machine with water.
The serial number has a two letter designation, the first is where it was assembled and the second is the year. A long fill error can be several items, we all need to know first, how full with water, is your supply low on pressure or do you have a drain hose inserted far enough to cause a siphon condition? You should hear a gurgle splash as it drains.

Both of you most likely are getting a "RPS Sensor Fault"
On a GWL10, when the motor rotor position sensor fails, it will act exactly like you describe. Many techs incorrectly replace the machine control or the water inlet valve(s). The RPS sensor is much cheaper. If you consult the tech sheet located under the control panel, you will see the fault code for RPS failure and I would bet the farm that the sequence of LEDs displayed when your washer faults out matches exactly with the RPS fault code.
The RPS sensor for GWL10 and GWL11 models is a part # 420296P and canbe purchased direct from Fisher Paykel Parts:

The procedure to replace it is a little involved but a handy person can do it. It would be best to consult the factory service manual and again, that can be purchased from Fisher Paykel Parts direct here:

SOURCE: Washer has LF error?
Lf means
Long Fill
This error code is displayed if the control failed to save cycle information during a power failure. This does not generate an error code beep.
Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.
Good luck
SOURCE: I have a Whirlpool cabrio washer that displays LF
Aha the old LF : Captain we have a problem. What is it Spock? Computers cannot confirm water is filling, water level does not change. Spock you did pay the water bill this month? What could it be Spock? Captain the inlet screens appear to have contaminants. Suggest you jettison them. If that does not solve it see test #2

SOURCE: We just got a brand new MayTag Modle # MHWE200XW00
It is a communication error between the CCU and the MCU. It could be just a poor or loose connection or either the motor control or computer control. try unplugging it for 5 min then plugging it in again.
The LF error means Long Fill.
When you start a cycle the water should come into the dispensers. If you have a good flow through the dispenser the valves will be okay.
I recommend checking the inlet water screens on the back of the washer. The inlet screens are located on the water valve. To access the screens you will turn the water off and remove the inlet hoses. The screens prevent debris from entering the valve and sometimes over time mineral deposits build up on the screens. This can block the water or slow the water fills down to a trickle. You can pull the screens out and clean them if necessary. Flush the inlets thoroughly with water when replacing the screens. If debris gets past the screens, it can cause the valves to stick open and an overflow of water can result.
While you have the fill hoses disconnected, place the ends of the hoses in a bucket and briefly turn on the faucets to check for proper water pressure and flow from both hoses.
A common reason for an L F (long fill) error on this washer is the drain hose being stuck to far down the drain standpipe.
If the drain hose is to far down the standpipe then a siphon can occur which causes the washer to fill and drain at the same time. This will cause a long fill error.
