I was unable to watch a Netflix movie . My Roku would not respond. batteries changed No response. netflix told me there had been trouble with customers Roku freezing. Help
gee did it ever work before or just found a used ROKU in a garage sale>?
NO system stated, at all, what do you have connected before you, (endless possible for sure)
so I will do wild guessing,
I first guess you have old TV that is not SMART, so no Netflix player s there.
so you buy a ROKU, (I have 2 love them, more on that later)
is this a new RUKU or old.? if old you need to upgrade the firmware on it per your manual,
The ROKU news version self upgrade them selves and also upgrade app players all the time, so that new feature work, using say the * star button,(settings for many things)
min upgrades as I sleep, ROKU is the best there is, so good it is installed inside newer TVs now, yah it works that good.
NOT TV made works that good unless it has ROKU in it, OK???
see why, (answer the new apps update all the time, endless)
what does not respond mean
does the RUKU player work , on the main right side screen of ROKU, and MUST work on their web player channel this would be first test, not Netflix using logic of walk first then run.
Then see of you internet connections work. If the ROKU channel is dead, internet is next , mine has wifi and ethernet channels.
I use the latter, and NEVER FAILS, and we all know wifi is PITA.

But you have wifi , I bet and that is a pain, if to far or too slow or the wifi channels are all overloaded by others in home or close neighbors (so move to higher wifi channels)>?
Tell again what "NO RESPONSE MEANS"
elaborate on just that,
1: the menus are missing , black screened?
2: what does not respond, exactly, what.?
on mine I use PLEX and I click PLEX and my PLEX server comes up. wow PLEX.
there are like 100s of APP players there are all dead/?
