The colors of the cables are just so you can tell them apart. The standard color coding is RED is right audio channel and White is Left audio channel. Just make sure that whichever color (black/grey) you use the same color end is right channel on both or left channel on both.
Most modern car stereos have 4 channels. Each channel has a pair of wires, one a solid color and one the same color with a black stripe. The solid color is positive and the black stripe is negative. The channels will be color coded white for left front, grey for right front, green for left rear and purple/violet for right rear. So you simply hook up the positive and negative wires from each speaker to its corresponding channel based on the speakers position in the car.
theres a color kill secam transistor near the system control, you may change it, it maybe defective or the I.C.control system itself. that's big one I.C. it maybe 40 to 50 pins
Some models of TV's can remember the user settings for each channel programed. Go in to the user menu for the video setup and see if the colour (chroma) is turned down.
once a signal falls below a certain threshold the color will be lost. some sets are more sensitive to this loss. if you see static in the picture on any of the channels then the cable is leaking and needs replaced /tightened. if a local air broadcast is leaking into a same cable channel on the cable you will get poor to no reception on that channel. for example : he we have a local channel 7 on the air. if i tune to cable 7 and see a weak or distorted pic then the cable is leaking and needs replaced.
