My blue ray recorder br625t is stuck on error and we can't get it off

Yes a Blue Ray Recorder. It will have a TV tuner built in just like the old VCR. Or you can go for a blue-ray player and hard disc recorder combination. These are much more common and cheaper than Blue-Ray recorders. You will not be able to record onto a blue-ray disc though. But you can watch the TV shows in high quality depending on what settings you use.

Try going to: 220-Electronics website. I think they sell Region Free DVD's.

buy a new one

1) test the cables in another devices and see if work, if work your problem is the blue rays.
2) test the output terminal from dirty, corrosion, oxide and clean it with c. cleaner.
3) otherwise the blue ray need to clean the OPU, pass the disk cleaner specially from R. shack. and fix it.
4) othewise the blue ray is faulty, go to the repair shop TV for fix it.

I have the same problem, some disks work while others don't. I've installed the latest firmware update too and it still happens. The DVDs play on my non blue-ray player. I think we got stuck with a lemon.

try cleaning the OPTICAL LENS directly with a Qtip , gently rub , try again , the code U61 means a self test procedure that the unit is running according to PANASONIC tech people, good luck , AJ

I have similar problem. I have recorded all of my old tapes on a DVD-RW disc (lots of time spent on it) and as I wanted to finalize them - it would display an recording error. Recently I purchased a new Sony blue ray player and I realized it would play the not finalized discs. I am still looking for a solution how to record these memories on a PC so I can edit them.
