SOURCE: We have a Visio Model # VA26LHDTV10T manufactured

Hi,

This is an indication of out-of-regulation condition in the power supply board. This is caused by leaky/dried electrolytic capacitor on that board. In the first stage of the symptoms, warm-up will make it self stable but it will get worst, time will come that the unit will not even power up.

Leaky electrolytic capacitor has a physical indication of fault like bulged/dome at the top and can be easily identify by visual inspection. See sample picture below.

If your unit is not under warranty period, open the back cover and inspect this part in the power supply board(where the power cord's directly connected). If you found it, replace it with same capacitance and working voltage that is printed on its body itself. Watch the video below for more info.

Dried electrolytic capacitor has no physical indication of fault. You must have a capacitor checker if you are going to DIY to determine its condition and pinpoint the faulty one. If not available, you may replace all electrolytic capacitor in the output of the power supply board except the largest capacitor(main filter electrolytic capacitor), it will not cost you much because this is one of the cheapest part on that board. Another option is to replace the entire power supply board for your convenient, it will not required any soldering. Click this LINK for the replacement or obtain it from your local service center.

Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

SOURCE: My coby tftv3229 wont turn on and I've only had it

If its two weeks old why are you here? Take it back to point of purchase and either have it fixed or replaced or get a refund.....

From the brand you likely are in UK but here all sets come with some kind of warranty==the problem sounds like a power supply issue but if you have a warranty and open the set it will void that warranty.

Why is USB PORT wont work to my flash drive so i could watch movie from it. Tftv3229 32" Coby

USB input does not have the necessary codecs to play your file. Might work on a different type file but not the one you currently have.

That is a problem with many HD tv's. Your blue ray players with usb will play just about anything.

TV comes on but flashes intermittently all over the screen. Does finally work well enough to watch but still flashes, easy fix?

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

Coby TFTV3229 won't stay on

Although it is not possible to be certain without on-hand inspection, a 5-second or less shutdown usually indicates a SAFETY system is turning the unit off - or that an essential voltage source or control circuit inside the unit is either out of range or has failed. Unless you're an electronics tech or have similar training, this is one of those times when repairs are best left to the pros.

Coby 32 in TFTV 3229 sounds terrible

If you have tried using different input devices, looked for loose contacts
in power outlet, RC Jack, cable and connectors, the TV might need service.
