I have a curtain over the top of the picture with vertical color lines of red blue yellow and can see thru them but dimmly

The symptoms you are describing with your Samsung plasma TV are consistent with a failure of the plasma display panel or a failure of the plasma drivers that control the display Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check the connections: Make sure all the cables and connections to the TV are secure and not damaged. Loose or damaged cables can cause visual distortions on the screen.
2. Perform a factory reset: Sometimes a factory reset can fix issues with the TV. Refer to the TV manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

Televisions covered: all Projection with yellow picture, but not Projection TVs with a yellowish tint surrounding objects in a nearly normal picture.

Yellow = red + green

The circuitry powering your blue output, or the blue light engine itself is starting to fail.

Operating Theory:

The lamp module shines a bright light into the optical unit; there are a series of lens and baffles, and at the top of the light engine, a lens puts the picture into a mirror which is reflected onto the screen; All video and color is processed thru the light engine. Blue most commonly fails first, leaving a yellow picture.

hows the picture? is it 3d looking? do you have the convergence option in the setup menu

The DVD player has component video as well as the S-video and RCA video and two RCA audio outputs.

If your player is the same as my picture, the component video jacks are in a horizontal line at the top of the back of the player. The white and red audio jacks are in a vertical line to the left. The yellow video out jack is in the second line just below the component video jacks (in a line with the coax port, the S-video port is in between the coax and the RCA video out). (The white jack is at the top left of the connections block, red below that, and yellow to the right of the red.)

red, green, and blue lines curve across the top of tv is cause by defective convergence STK IC or you have open resistor at convergence section. if you have defective RGB Color vertical ramp probably you have defective STK IC..

try to set the convergance if you cant you can adjust the color tubes from inside the tv but have to be very careful to do this. There is actually only 3 colors in the tv red, blue green so I would say your blue and green need lined up
