You have a powered sub. There will be fuses on the circuit board for 110 volts power and another to protect the speaker from overload

SOURCE: How do I disassemble + clean Harmon Kardon SoundStick subwoofer?

Check for a Fuse. Mine is an older model and has a Fuse right next to the power cord. It probably has a slot for a flathead screwdriver.

SOURCE: I have Harmon Kardon AVR 25 ii receivers and I

To locate the problem...a) Cable
Test if right cable is ok, by interchanging the rt/left cables.

b) Test Bose right speaker
Connect the Bose right speaker to HK's left channel. Works? Then Bose right speaker is ok.

c) Test HK's right output by connecting the left Bose speaker to HK's right output.
Does not work?

SOURCE: My receiver doesn't have a dedicated subwoofer

That would depend mostly on your subwoofer. There are some that slave off the front left and right speaker outputs and still pass the amp's power to the Front Speakers. That would be the only way that would ensure volume control.

Otherwise you have to feed a self-powered sub from the Tape Outs but that won't allow volume control from the H-K.

SOURCE: how do i connect my boston acoustics pv800

You need to use the LINE LEVEL connection on the pv800 (usually a rca type connector cable) and run this cable into the back of the HK 520 Subwoofer PRE-OUT connector, be sure the HK Receiver menu speaker set-up option is set to SUBWOOFER "YES"

How to connect the subwoofer to my Tv Samsung???

Most of the time there is a foldback of the left and right audio inputs of the subwoofer in that they use and sum the L and R audio and then filter the high end off. That means that the audio outs from your source be it the TV audio outs or a AV receiver that they can be Y corded to the sub woofer for that purpose.

Harmon Kardon receiver not compatable connection to subwoofer.

Most subwoofers with RCA type connections are powered subs. They are commonly sold in most hi-fi stores.
Unless your subwoofer has a separate mains lead it will be the wrong type I think.
