From my understanding the ice within your Frigidaire refrigerator tastes funny. Odors or taste within the ice can come from strong flavors of food within the freezer or refrigerator. You should discard your bucket of ice and allow it to make a new batch, also tightly seal any containers that may cause odor issues. I am an Lg authorized tech. my company was rated the best company in the south eastern united state so i do a lot of lg work. There really isnt to much u can do for the taste of the ice. you can wash the ice maker and if that doesn't work i would have the company come back out and hopefully you will get a guy who is nice and ask him to change out the ice maker but usually if you just was it out it will solve the issue. the ice maker can be taken off fairly easy just two screw that hold it on and a ground screw under the ice maker. you also dont need to be worried about it being anything unhealthy like i said its just the ice maker taste. just try cleaning it. hope this helps

I time shots at about 11 seconds and add hot water after that. If you take taste tests for longer periods you can tell where it goes bad quickly and adjust the timer to stop at the right spot.
