Make sure battery has a full charge and battery connections all good, check fusible links, one of your positive battery connections should run to fusible links, where applicable. Ann\y fuses, not only check the fuses, check for voltage on the fuse circuit, use a testlite or something. Some fuses are hot all the time, some go hot with the key on. Ground is also important.
To be legal they must not operate when the high beams are on. Use a relay because of the current and connect them via the relay to the battery. Power the relay from the low beam power wire. Be sure you put a fuse in the battery line.
You actually may have two problems. First, if you have a spark from a coil, find out why. May be a bad or loose connection. when coils get hot their resistance increases. A leak or bad connection will show up quicker when hot. If the spark comes from the body of the coil, replace it.
Second, your starter may be breaking down when hot. Check the brushes and coils in the starter motor. The same discussion about loose connections also will apply to the starter.
good luck
next is jumper cable jump start to good running helper car battery.
that cuts cause in 1/2 , 15min works.
car starts, your battery is bad, or not charging, running, or is only discharged. (left head lights on)
wont crank. now?\\
hot wire the solenoid, for cutting possibles in 1/2 again.
what transmission? in car?
No power to starter circuit. The starter gets power from battery to start. So check the connection between battery to starter. As you mentioned battery is new ,but still get the battery voltage checked. It should be 12 volts if battery is fully charged. If battery shows 12 volt then check the connection terminal from battery to starter. If connection checked ok then its most probably the problem of faulty starter. It has to be replaced. But if the starter checked out ok by meter, then the problem relates to faulty ignition switch circuit causing this problem.Checking all this possibilities will rule out the exact faulty part causing the problem.----------Thanks.Helpmech.
Recheck all connections at the starter and at the battery as well as inspect engine grounds ..sounds like a connection is getting hot and causing the Circut to go open..the old expansion and contraction with relation to temprature...
You have no power from the switch to the starter. Check all you wiring that goes through the fire wall and look for burnt connections or just bad connections.
Could be the battery and starter solenoid. Solinoids often heat up and can't make the required electric connection until they cool off.
Or, the battery can't hold a charge due to faulty alternator or other electrical parts. The only other thing I can think of is the head gasket or cooling sustem is bad allowing an overheat to take place and the moving engine parts lock when hot.
