My power on my miniature Sharp stereo will not come on because it's stuck in timer mode how do I get the timer off without a remote

Hi I need help in turning of the timmer from my sharp stereo because it's not turning on and I don't have any remote for it what can I do

If the unit is controlled by a remote, the symptom you are experiencing could be cause by a function only available on the remote. I discovered this with my Yamaha 5-CD disc changer. However, my unit doesn't have an integrated Stereo. Your unit may mean that the remote handles more features. Search for a button that says MODE or AUX. If you still have the User Manual with the system, check to see what these buttons describe as controlling which features. Check back with me.

You can do it by its main menu option. Go to timer setting tag, and set it to Zero.

This television has to be on input tv for you to be able to press the audio button and switch between mono and stereo. Otherwise you will not be able to use that feature of your television. When you are connecting devices to inputs 1,2,3 or any of the hdmi inputs you are getting stereo sound though you are not able to choose it with the Sharp remote.

Input tv is for an antenna or for a cable cord directly connected to the television without the cable box (not satellite tv).

Check the remote carefully for a stuck button. You may have pressed a button and it went a bit crooked getting stuck.
Also, remove the batteries of the remote and try operating the TV manually. If the remote is the cause, the TV will work correctly once you remove the batteries.
Another way to check is by using a digital camera, like the one in a cell phone. Turn on the camera and point it at the remote. If you see a white light coming from the transmitter, the remote is sending a signal. Look for a stuck button.

The stereo is in Demo mode. Press the "x-bass/Demo" button on the bottom of remote to turn off Demo.

First, try unplugging the unit for a couple of hours. That should reset the internal microprocessor. If that fails, try pushing all of the buttons one at a time. If one of them is stuck, nothing will work properly. You should be able to feel the button working. Report back here with your results.
