SOURCE: water leaking out of bottom
A leaking humidifier is a sign that the unit's filter needs to be cleaned/changed. I had the exact same problem on this model.
SOURCE: humidifier leaks water when turned on
Humidifier water pad comes w/ a mark in one end, that mark should be on top. Also check your feed tube they tend to crack some times. if if still leaks water change the water pad

i am certain the shim is the right thing to do! my left bottle, too, would not drain after i relocated my unit. fingers crossed that this fixes the problem!
SOURCE: Humidifier Leaking over floor, not retaining water, excess bubles
My humidifier is leaking. I is a Vicks V3900 Germ Free Cool Mist Humidifier. How do I solve this problem
SOURCE: Honeywell HCM-305T Spits droplets rather than creating a mist.
this has nothing to do with any sort of nozzle as there isn't one on this device. As Skybum said, the "moat" overflows into the fan and then gets spit out as the fan turns. The device is wonderful at saturating floors but unfortunately not the air!
This is also not a consistent event. The humidifier will work for some time and then all of a sudden I wake up with a soaking wet floor.
