SOURCE: just got a homelite 33cc

Yes you do! The ratio is 50:1 fuel to oil. Be sure to use a modern synthetic saw oil available at home centers, hardware stores, and saw dealers. Be sure to use fresh fuel and mix the two in it's own container. Be sure to shake the container thoroughly each time just before refueling to prevent oil starvation in the engine. Don't make up more than one gallon at a time unless sawing is your business. Hope this helps!

On a gas chain saw, do you mix the gas

there is usually a fuel/oil ratio (i think yours is 50:1) you must buy the 2 cycle oil and mix it with gas at the ratio reccommended by the manufacture. the bottle may say 6 oz per 1 gallon = 50:1 So 1 bottle of 2 cycle oil for every gallon of gas. mix them in a proper fuel can. then let the cutting begin.

Do you run straight gas through it

No, gas chain saws use a 2 cycle oil gas mix, it should say on the chain saw fill or on a bottle of 2 cycle oil the mix or ratio of oil to gas mix.

What is the gas/oil mixture for the poulan wild thing chain saw please?

Use a quality 2-cycle air-cooled engine oil. Poulan recommends a good quality 2-cycle air-cooled oil designed to be mixed at a ratio of 40:1 (A 40:1 ratio is obtained by mixing 3.2 onces of oil with 1 gallon of unleaded gasoline). When mixing fuel, follow the instructions printed on the container. Always read and follow the safety rules relating to fuel before fueling your unit.. Be Safe!

What is the oil mixture for husqvarna chain model 235

50:1 fuel to oil ratio is correct for this saw. Be sure to use modern synthetic saw oil, not a petroleum product like outboard motor oil. Premix the fuel and oil in it's own can, and shake thoroughly just before filling the saw each time. With these modern fuel/oil ratios, serious engine damage can occur if not thoroughly mixed each time. Hope this helps!

Homelite chain saw --first time user--do you mix oil and gas--two compartments--is the first compartment for bar oil

In the compartment closest to the chainsaw bar, you need to fill this with chain and bar oil. Any good name brand will work fine.

In the other compartment you need to add a mix of petrol and oil in the ratio specified for your saw. If unsure, 25:1 petrol/oil ratio should be ok.
