Check the BLUE wire from the temp control to the ORANGE wire of the defrost timer for continuity. That is the complete fan circuit. You should read the resistance of the Evap fan motor. If you do not read resistance suspect the pins of the evap fan motor connector or... the Unbilical harness from near the evap to the icemaker and the evap fan. The connector pins of the Evap fan motor connector (Freezer connector) are notorious for failing.

SOURCE: Amana SXD22 SxS evaporator coils

You will need to remove the food and shelves from your freezer and then the back panel. Look for ice buildup on the coils and around the cold air tubes that allows cold air to enter your refrigerator. If you do have frost then you should unplug your refrigerator and defrost your freezer. You can use a hair dryer to hurry the process along, but be ready with a large sponge and bucket to deal with the water. The defrost sytem is usually made of three basic components: The defrost heater, the thermostat and the timer. You can check the heater and thermostat with an ohm meter - if you have continuity - less than infinity on your meter then they are normally good. If not replace which ever one didn't have continuity. If both are good then it is the timer and you will need to order one and replace it. You can do this by going to www.searspartsdirect.com and plug in your refrigerator model number in and pull up the diagram for you refrigerator. Those three parts will be in the freezer compartment - it will also give you an idea of what they look like if you are having a problem in identifying them.

Now for the good news. Your refrigerator will work without them for a week or so now that you have defrosted your freezer! So you can plug it back in and let it get cold and just wait for your delivery. NOTE: Suggest you take a digital photo of how it looks so if you can't remember later, you have something to refer to.

Hello,

That a pretty simple explanation...with a 120 vac at fan and it not coming on the motor winging is broken and the motor need to be repalced

the part number for that fan is 10513803

The fan motor can be purchased at your local applance parts store or online at,

SZD27MW - Freezer Fan not working - temp runs 40 midway in freezer

Voltage is either 240V or 110V either way it is stamped on the fan motor. You have a sensor controlling the fan and heater which could have gone open circuit and on some cabinets they use the neutral through the heater to bring in the fan so you could have a heater gone. You can bypass the sensor but this should not be a long term solution as it is a safety mechanism. Hope this helps.
