My RCA RS2600 stereo system in our RV won't power on. Is there a fuse or reset switch? Electrical outlet works and already tried turning it on with on/off switch and handheld remote.

SOURCE: BUSTED FUSE

A lot of times you can buy replacement fuses at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace. Check the fuse. If it is blown, it will be obvious and make sure that the set is unplugged before replacing it. If it blows again, or if it is not blown, your problem is probably in the 'X' volt regulator and you will need professional help with the repairs.

SOURCE: Magellan Maestro 4250 GPS Power Failure

Hi guys. No need to panic. I thought I had the same problem when I got mine but actually there is no problem. Somehow, the off-on switch on the system is kind of funny. U really have to have small finger and depress the switch as far as u can until the system comes on. Might not be the fix you're looking for but give it a try anyway. Nothing to lose. Good luck.

SOURCE: Wont turn on; remote/tv power switch inoperative

hi I am Vortash .. burning smells usually mean Power supply or line output .. flyback problems .. this is probably one of those jobs only an engineer should look at .. voltages on the line can exceed 400 volts and are highly dangerous the line output from the transformer depending on the type of tube can be up to 25,000 volts .. so best leave this one to the proffesionals Regards Vortash

SOURCE: power will not turn on

If you know the outlet is good then you need to unplug the AC slide it out of the cabinet and see if the on off switch is working or if there is a loose or burned connection in the wiring circuit. check all wiring going and coming to capacitors and check to see if the continuity between the post on the control switch. There are many different models and each one has different features. So each one may be wired a little different. While you are inside the cabinet mart the wires going to compressor and where they connect. Let me know when you get to that point and I will lead you through the way to test the compressor. I don't think the compressor is the problem, I just want you check all connections for burns or bad connections, Thanks, Sea Breeze

I plugged a 30 amp power supply cord from an rv to a 15 amp house outlet to run a/c to rv . gfci tripped and wont reset. damaged gfci or something else?

A GFI outlet works independently of sensing an overload condition. Overloads are dealt with by the circuit breaker or fuse in your electrical panel. The GFI simply compares the current on the hot terminal (black or red wire) with the current on the neutral terminal (white or gray wire) and interrupts the current if there is more than 5mA (0.005 Amps) difference between the two.

Remove the load - in this case the RV plug - from the GFI outlet and attempt a reset. Make sure you're pressing the RESET button and not the TEST button. If it resets - you're all set. Reconnect the RV plug to a different outlet - preferably NOT a GFI type.

If it still wont reset, it is important to know that GFI outlets can be wired in such a way that any circuit extended to other outlets (lights, too) via the LOAD terminal screws will also be protected by the GFI. We need to be sure that there wasn't something else causing the fault. Check other nearby outlets for functionality. Remove plugs from any outlet found not working and attempt to reset again.

If it will not reset - it is possible that the internal sensing circuitry has been damaged due to such a large amount of current trying to pass. In this case, replacing the GFI outlet will be needed.

Car turns over but won't start fuel injector fuse and ignition fuses are good but no power is getting to them. also the stereo and wipers only work when ignition is on accessory. when its on r

Sounds like it could be a bad ignition switch-the electrical part, not the lock cylinder. When key is in the on position (run), those fuses should be powered. Are all the maxi-fuses good? They distribute power throughout the car's electrical circuits-like the fuse panel, for instance, so check the maxi-fuses. If good, probably the ignition switch is bad.

No power. Will not turn on

Not intended to offend;
1. If using A/C (house electrical power), please check if electrical wall outlet is active. Attempt to plug-in another electrical device such as a lamp, clock, radio, etc.. If the electrical wall outlet has top and bottom plugs, try the top and then the bottom plug to see which one works. Sometimes, the top outlet will not work, yet the bottom outlet does work. The wall outlet should be replaced by qualified technician.
2. If both outlets do NOT work, and the outlet is GFCI breaker protected, maybe pressing the RESET switch on the outlet will power-up the outlet.
3. If the outlet is NOT GFCI breaker protected, check your electrical fuse box for a tripped fuse. Sometimes, a tripped fuse is NOT visible. May have to trip the specific fuse or all fuses to off, then back on. Recheck the wall outlet.
4. Once your know the outlet is live, check the power cord (a/c adapter for laptops) to make sure they are securely plugged-in to both the wall outlet AND the PC or Laptop.

Will need more information once the above steps are taken:

Is it a Desktop or Laptop?
Make and Model (if known)?
Any lights (glowing) on the desktop or laptop?
Any lights on the A/C adapter if its a laptop?

Lets focus on the external portion of the TV set first (95 percent of all TV problems are related to things EXTERNAL To the tv itself) Check the physical CONNECTION of all cables by removing each wire bare or RCA and reinstalling it (Each power cable as well), once you have removed one cable, check it for fraying, and if it is already bare, splice a new fresh connection for it. 5. Check to make sure there are NO OTHER uneeded radios, system nearby. these systems, when powered on, will cause electromagnetic interference and prevent more than just severe tv interference SURGE PROTECTOR Surge protectors account for more than 75 percent of electric faults to stereo equipment. Lets start with your AC Wall outlet. It is standard in america that 220 Volts from out of these outlets. This implies that each device will be using 220 Volts (From within that grid zone). If anything including an alarm clock is plugged into any AC outlet socket in the vicinity of the stereo equipment/TV, it will cause electric outage, and prevent electronics from even turning on! Your TV needs dedicated electric power. If your TV is located in the living room then unplug everything else in the living room. Lets plug the TV set into a Dedicated socket. Check all light switches to ensure that power is on for that outlet. Check the TV cable for Fraying both on the ac wall end and where it plugs into the TV. Check all GFCI outlets to ensure that all red reset buttons are pushed in, check the circuit breakers for proper connection and they are turned on. Now, lets try the TV set without it connected to any cable services, vcr, dvd, stereo system, etc.

Rca f36650yx01 will not turn on

I feel foolish asking this but have you plugged it in? If you have it plugged in are you trying to turn it on with the remote? Have you tried to turn it on by pressing the on switch on the tv? Does the outlet work?

There could be any number of reasons for this. If the outlet has power (you can check this with any electrical device you have, plug it in and turn it on). So if the outlet has power AND the remote has fresh batteries AND the tv is plugged in to the outlet but still will not turn on even after pressing the switch on the tv...then you may have a blown fuse on the power input line into the tv. Take the tv to your local repair shop and ask them to look, if the fuse is blown they'll replace it and voila, your tv is fixed!

Please do not try to do this yourself, there is over 10,000 volts available at the flyback transformer even with the tv not plugged in.

RCA rs2600 every thing works but the radio.When the source is switched to AM or FM no sound comes from the speakers.The sound works fine with the CD or tape.

Try to clean the selector mode switch with a contact cleaner like "electra"that safe to all surface plastic or metal.If still the AM and FM not working.You better replace the selector with identical rating parts.

Hope it may helps;
