SMEG oven DUC04SS Alarm just TICKS quietly instead of Beeping about 90% of the time. I understand how to change the volume on the alarm. Any suggestions please?

I've tried unplugging the oven and changing the volume etc. but no luck. Occasionally the alarm beeps which is a pleasant surprise.

SOURCE: JVM1490 IS BEEPING EVERY 4-5 MIN ONE BEEP

The manual states that it will beep once a minute after food cooks until you open the door or press stop. Other than that, it sounds like an error condition. But you might contact the GE Answer Center at 1-800-626-2005 Monday 6 a.m. ET through Saturday midnight ET. The owner's manual is available here: http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/literature/

SOURCE: KitchenAid built in microwave model #KHMS155LSS-4.

Whirlpool is conducting a safety recall on the Kitchenaid KHMS155L series (and similar models under other brand names) that display the F2 code or have been observed self-starting. Other symptoms may be additional codes or unintelligible info being displayed, and failure to execute the command entered into the control pad. To obtain free replacement of the control panel, call Ava at Whirlpool: 1-866-640-7146, extension 6337. She will want your complete model and serial numbers and a phone number and address where you can be reached. She will arrange for A & E Factory Service to contact you to set up an appointment to come out and replace the control panel at no cost to you.

Microwave started beeping while unplugged

If it beeps for just a few seconds after being unplugged from the wall, that's not a problem.

It's likely just the software or hardware feature utilizing a "sanity timer" to alert you when the oven loses line power. It's similar to a freezer alarm or sump pump alarm.

If this doesn't seem to answer your question or address your situation, please e-mail me and remind me of your symptoms and include your full model number as shown on the label.

Built in GE Microwave/electric oven combo. How to increase the volume on the alarm timer on the microwave? It is now suddenly almost inaudible.

I would check the settings. A glitch may have reset them.

Otherwise, I would unplug the oven for a minute, plug it back in, then reset the clock and try it again.

If you still need help, contact me via microwavecontrol.com with your full model number and detailed symptoms.

Have you tried a simple reset by turning it off and disconnecting it, waiting several minutes, then turning it back on?
