What kind of spring? The big spring(s) that help lift the door or an internal part?
Additional Info:
The part is cheap and not too hard to install:
https://www.chamberlain.com/search/?text=41B4103 It just screws on the end of the chain where it meets the slide assembly.
Testimonial: "The big spring - the torsion spring. I looked into it and it sounds like it's best to have it replaced and installed as it's not easy to do yourself. Thanks for the response"

My battery is bad. I knew it, but did not feel like it was worth any of my attention. The beeping started yesterday and this was worth my attention. Everyone in the family complained. I suspected it was the battery.
I unplugged the unit. Disconnected the battery. Waited for 30 seconds. Plugged it back in. It works fine and no beeping.
I suspect it is a warning to replace the battery.

Your first step is to find out if it is the opener or the door. Then you should be able to isolate the squeek.

We have a Chamberlain Whisper Drive Plus. The keyless entry stopped working, suddenly. I have changed the battery, not the problem. I cannot get it to work, and cannot get it to reprogram. The keypad lights up when buttons are pressed, but when I press "Enter" the whole keypad flashes for about 30 seconds and then just goes dark.

That is the warning alarm to tell you that your battery isw about dead,.Once you replace this it should clear up. If you want to unplug the unit, disconnect the battery and wait 30 sec and plug it back in, this should also stop the beeping. Premium Chamberlain garage access systms feature an internal battery backup that will operate the opener in case of a power outage. The garage door opener will emit a beeping sound when it is operating off of battery power or when the battery is no longer able to recharge. A fully charged battery will provide power to the garage door opener for 1 to 2 days of normal operation when power is lost, and when power is restored will recharge within 48 hours. While the garage door opner is operating using battery backup power the light bulbs will not turn on to conserve battery power. NOTE: To obtain maximum battery life and prevent damage, always disconnect the battery if you unplug the garage door opener while on vacation or any other extended period of time.
