The track worked great for the first month and my son loved it. Then one controller went bad and wouldn't supply any power to the track when the trick was pressed. Then other sections of the track started loosing power for some reason. This makes the entire track completely un-usable as the cars can get enough power to go around the loop.. All the railing constantly fall off and you have to re-attach it. This is very cheap quality and I am disappointed.

Yes, but the remote operates on the switch that turns the lights on and off. Lutron has this kind of technology and it is really cool.
