SOURCE: i have a honeywell cm927

The red flashing light means that there is an issues with the RF comms between control unit and receiver. You can reset by switching the boiler off and back on and then re-sending the temperature signal. You need to check batteries in you thermostat and also the position as the signal could be interfered with or it may be too far away from the receiver.

HONEYWELL RTH230B Display is Blank. This thermostat has worked great for over 3 years. Batteries are good. But today, when the thermostat is in the HEAT position, the display is blank. When the switch is...

I had blank screen also. I placed my screwdriver between the battery terminal and battery tab and voila the screen turned on. I removed the batteries, pulled the tab out, replaced the batteries, and the thermostat is working like a champ again.

Need to set differential on my ct 1540 thermostat, the furnace kicks on at after it drops 1 degree this cant be right

Yes this is probably correct the newer thermostats will kick on with a 1 degree temerature drop. This is better since the furnace only has to make up one degree of temerature and has a shorter run cycle saving you money.
