Officially, yes you need a new screen. But what you are describing suggests a solder joint that has become loose. If you can remove the screen and the guts behind it you might get lucky and find a solder joint that is visibly not secure. If you carefully heat that joint with a solder iron, and maybe add a tiny bit of rosin core solder to the joint, you might end up saving $$$. Good luck!

you have a warranty! the set has a problem either with the panel or the main board take it back to the store where you bought it and exchange it or have it repaired by a factory authorized repair place.
