If you measure the voltage with a multi meter, you don't get the voltage appropriate to run the unit, That's mean the battery is bad, and it is not receiving charge. The battery needs to be replaced with brand new one. Thanks

SOURCE: Laptop shuts off when unplugged, battery is fully charged

Chosenone, Even though the battery meter shows it fully charged I doubt it?s correct. Over time rechargeable batteries loose their ability to store power. How long depends on the battery manufacturer and how well you treat it but you can consider yourself fortunate if your battery lasts three or four years. Beware of people who suggest you take apart your batter to bypass the safeties or replace old battery cells. Defective or improperly handled batteries can overheat and cause fires when you least expect them. Let us know if you have any more questions and please don?t forget to rate this post.

SOURCE: Coleman 1500 power inverter has no output

I believe that the actual unit may have other problems and that you will need a schematic to aid in your troubleshooting of this issue. Once you have the schematic and a multiment you can check the voltages to see if things ar as they should be and then we can look at what is happening.

SOURCE: lubrication and maintenance reciprocal saw DeWalt

Before you attempt any of this I would recommend going to Dewaltservicenet.com and see what the inside of this tool looks like. It appears that you need to remove part of the front gearcase to get into the lube. The back e.g. brushes is not that big of a deal. If there is a Service Center near you they have a Max repair rate that they will fix anything on this saw at a preset firm price and if it is less that is what they would charge.

Will a ryobi 18 volt charger replace a coleman powermate battery charger? What's your problem?

They look different in their shape where the battery goes so I would say no. To be safe always use the charger from the same manufacturer. There are a few different types of batteries too so it is always best to use the model number of your original charger to search for the replacement.

When battery is inserted, the internal fuse blows. I have tried changing it to no avail. Battery may have been inserted backwards at one point,

janaire why not wrap the fuse in aluminum foil? Then the errant part can be identified by the faint red glow. DO NOT bypass your fuse or overfuse the device!!!

Orbital or Straight Comparison

An orbital reciprocating saw moves in a more elliptical or oval shape rather than just up and down. This makes it more aggressive and gives it a faster cut. Straight reciprocating saws move on a single plane, back and forth.
