Its got lots of differnt coloured lines running down the middle of the screen from top to bottom,You can still watch the tv.Can this be fixed or not.This is a 50in screen.

Fixed. The problem was the B board (digital signal processor). Bring lots of money.

If the lines are there on every input then you have a bad panel (screen). The panel is the front screen section, if you could get one a new panel would cost more than a new TV. If the line is only there with the cable box then its just a bad box (I've seen the pace box do this)

the cost depend upon the itmes (dameged ic, on the mother board of your t.v,)which can only bw assessed after opeing it,,,
service charge will be approx. 300 buks,
and approximately the ic's will cost, about 1200 bucks

You may have shorted out the driver circuits on the LCD panel or on the T-CON board, you will have to try to dry out any moisture left inside the LCD panel assembly. Typical repair bill for shop can be $150 and up plus any parts that it may need, sorry for the bad news since the LCD may have to be repleaced if the damage is badly done. You need to open it up and look real close at the LCD panel and the T-CON board.
