SOURCE: green tint
LCD projectors can have a green tint for a fiew reasons. Either the signal processor is out which can cause all sorts of funkyness, or the lcd panel itself is not seated properly. Also the memory driver for the lcd panel can be messed up in some way.
Bottom line, if you are getting a green tint even on the menu then it would be a problem you would need to have addressed by a trained technician.
For now, you can try to do a through cleaning and try to dust out the light path.
I do not know how deeply you want to dig into the thing but if you can get to it make sure the optics are clean.
Also look into the optical path while it is off and try to locate any weird films or dust. Sometimes hard to spot I know.
Good Luck.

IT SHOULD BE UNDER WARRANTY. TAKE IT TO AN AUTHORIZED VIZIO SERVICER.
SOURCE: 46" LCQ VIZIO WON'T TURN ON ALL OF A SUDDED
For the 46" TV, it sounds like the main board is bad.
For the 50" Vizio: is the LED light on?
