Engine section undefined malfunction.Check the printer control board connectors.Try to reset : Turn OFF,press and keep pressed the Utility key and turn ON,kepp pressed Utility and wait while Trouble reset message appeire on scren,release the key,touch the message,turn OFF afetr 1 minute turn ON.
To reset the malfunction code press follow keys: Turn OFF the copier,press and hold pressed the Utility key and turn ON the copier.Wait will apaire the Trouble reset message on the display and release the Utility key.Touch the message and turn OFF the copier.Wait 1 minutes and turn ON.Good luck.
Hi the problem is going to be with the M1 motor most of the time replacing this motor will fix the issue
However in rare cases if it still gives you the same error after replacing m1 motor then you will need to change CB Main Body control board my advice is to replace the motor and if it still gives error code replace the cb board but it will fix your problem
The unit powers on, the drum shows only 0005 hours
on it, but the display says it has an "Error 02-454" Error Code, and
says "REC Inhibit", and it will not accept a tape. When this unit is
powered on it shows error code 02-454 which is:
S-REEL FG COULD NOT BE DETECTED WHILE IN FF/REW MODE.

From what I’ve been told this is a very easy fix
for someone that knows how to work on these. It is a very clean
machine, inside and out, and I am sure it is well worth getting
serviced and put back in use
