If it's a harbor freight unit then the brushes are worn.they usually come with spares. If not you can open it up and flip the brushes. Sometimes that will work. Sometimes a good smack on the side works too. They have a tendency to stick after laying around.

No brand is mentioned here. If your tool motor still works in other heads operate properly you probably have ahead which has a damaged isolated unit. These tools are relatively inexpensive and it may be easier to replace the head rather than take it apart and look for replacement parts.

Multi tool stopped vibrating

Is the machine turning on?
Is the motor / transformer going but the head not?
I can only ASSUME that they are.
Pull it apart and you will probably find that a cam, sprocket or pin of some sort is broken. Some machines use a oscillating transformer action. This coil may be open circuit. A multi-meter check will soon tell you. If this is the case then it is probably cheaper to buy a new or second hand one.

I'm looking for an online manual for the DeWalt oscellating 315 multi tool

Dewalt has a number of products with 315 in them. Most Dewalt tool manuals are available here: http://servicenet.dewalt.com/Home . There is the DWE315K ocillating multi-tool; see http://servicenet.dewalt.com/Products/Detail?isId=true&productNumber=DWE315K&selectedType=25371 . Dewalt has a type 1 and a type 2 with the DWE315K model number. The direct link to the manual for Type 1 is http://documents.dewalt.com/documents/English/Instruction%20Manual/N252379,DWE315.pdf .

Please look at the product again and check the full model number and the type information. Add a comment if you have a different oscillating tool model.

I hope this helps.

Can i cut metal with this saw

Please share the make and model of the saw, however, the cutting of metal depends largely on the kind of blade.
Metal cutting blades have both a different "set" of teeth and number of teeth per square inch.
You will also be getting different teeth for different kinds of, and thickness of, metals.
By and large, the thinner the metal, the more teeth per inch.
Your motor speed will also affect how well your machine will cut metal.
God bless your efforts.

Turns on and vibrates but will not cut. What is going on? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Just some observations:
- The correct blade has ti be installed.
- It has to be sharp
- It can only cut material intended for that blade.

The rotary speed dial in my Fein MultiMaster slips caused by the vibration when the tool is turned on. Is there a way to tighten it?

No way of tightening its a variable resistor molded in to Electronics. Would try get a warranty replacement if its close to any of the warranties they offer. Its One year normal or Three years free extended World Wide Warranty. Would recommend anyone buying FEIN to extend it free within four weeks of purchase.

How to remove gearbox from armature on MX25E

Just disassembled one today, and it wasn't easy. There's a large washer with four tabs between the two assemblies. Insert a screwdriver into the space between it and the gear box, so you're prying metal to metal, and pry for all you're worth, moving from one tab to another. It'll eventually pop loose, and leave a few marks.... One of the two ears on the rocker is broken, so it'll mean a new gearbox for me.

Is there a tool that will make it easier to cut out a perfect circle?

Circles are hard to make, I had a lot of trouble when we decided to put recess lighting into the whole house. I wasn't able to find a tool that does all the cutting for you but what worked really well for me was a Goldblatt Drywall Circle Cutter. It doesn't cut all the way through the drywall, it just scores it so that all you have to do is cut from the center of the circle out to the edge and then snap off the pieces. Saves you tons of time trying to get those round edges to look perfect!
