SOURCE: kenmore oven: glass dome for interior light removal

Hopefully someone answered your question by now. If not, the glass bulb cover sticks sometimes, but it does turn counterclockwise. Be firm with it, let it know who's boss. Once you've removed it, you can replace the 40 watt appliance bulb. (The manual suggests you unplug the range or disconnect power for your safety). Good luck.

SOURCE: CHANGE THE LIGHT IN MIELE OVEN

Had the same problem. Ended up removing interior oven panels (sides first then top on model H310B). This is easier than you might think. Could then get a good grip on the light's glass cover and it unscrewed easily.

SOURCE: unable to remove the glass cover to change the light bulb in oven

I went out and bought a 4 inch strap wrench from LOWE's. I had never heard of one before. After figuring out from the diagram how to use it, I wrapped it around the glass bulb cover and did a counterclockwise twist and off it came. P.S. I'm a girl so I feel pretty good about that project

SOURCE: On my frigidaire gallery series oven, how do you clean the glass of the oven door window (between the inside and outside)?

Below are instructions on how to take your oven door apart to remove any stains that may be caught down in the door vents.

Tools needed: good Phillips head screwdriver or small quad bit driver.
    A. Open Door remove 2 screws and washers on door lining at door hinge area.

    B. With door in broil stop position lift door assembly off hinges.

    C. Lay door on table, position so that handle hangs freely over edge of table

    D. Remove 2 screws and washers that secure handle to lining assembly.

    E. Remove 8 screws that attach textured steel door wrapper trim to lining assembly 3 at top, 3 at bottom, 1 on each side

    F. Lift door lining up and out of wrapper trim assembly.

    G. Lay lining assembly on table with wool shield/inner part of lining facing up.

    H. Remove 2 glass clamps via 2 screws per clamp. These clamps attach innermost clear glass to wool shield.

    I. Lift out center clear glass from wool shield, this glass just lays onto the wool shield and is held in place by the glass/ clamps in item H.
    J. Clean each glass with appropriate cleaner, Windex, bon ami, fantastic, etc

    K. One glass that remains in door lining assembly can at this time be cleaned without further disassembly the lining assembly.

    L. Reassemble in reverse order.

Unable to remove light cover inside oven

    Hi,

I'm not familiar with that oven model, but as I have had a similar issue with my Neff oven light, I thought I would give you the benefit of what I had discovered. The light cover in my oven is a round, thick glass cover. The hand book has a graphic showing that the cover is simply twisted with one hand in an anti-clockwise direction as viewed straight onto the cover. No way! The first issue is that the lamp housing is right in a tight corner and getting sufficient grip on the cover is tricky. I put rubber gloves on to increase the grip and resorted to using two hands to exert as much force as I could manage, but it only moved a small amount. I think the movement was only the entire lamp housing moving in the oven wall, rather than any movement of the cover. I tried warming up the oven (not too hot) in the hope that the cover might release due to expansion, but no go. I then wondered if cooking grease / deposits and bonded the cover to the holder; although it appeared reasonable clear. This appears to have been the issue as I applied WD40 to the seam where the glass meets with the lamp housing and left it for a few minutes. It needed a second application, but eventually came free. On inspection, there was only a minor 'varnish' on the glass that appeared to have prevented the two parts from moving. Using WD40 weakened the bond eventually, but it also made the glass incredibly slippery, so gripping the glass cover after application is difficult. I used the rubber gloves and wiped the glass well to remove any residual WD40 prior to attempting to twist the glass cover off.

    I have a 30" (76cm)

Most ovens have either a flat piece of glass with clips either side covering the oven light or a round glass knob which unscrews. The glass covers can sometimes be difficult to remove due to heat and fat build up. You can tap the flat glass with a blunt object. You can use multigrips on the glass knob, just be careful.

We have a multifunction freestyle over 698 and want to change the light inside the oven. how do we do this

The glass cover over the bulb should screw off, remove the bulb and replace it with a new one of the correct type. Clean and replace the glass cover. Be careful not to use force which could break the glass and cause an injury. Make sure that the stove main switch is off. (The lamp cover may have a screw type or have a bayonet fitting).

I need to replace the light bulb in my whirlpool self-cleaning oven but I can not remove the glass cover. How do I remove it?

    hello,

Here is a solution to go about the glass bellow

Removing your microwave door allows you to quickly clean out any accumulated food or grease. This also makes it easy to get to all the crumbs and debris around the door hinges. While you have the door off its hinges, examine the plastic panel and glass window for signs of damage. Make sure you install a replacement door that is designed for your brand of microwave to ensure that it will fit correctly.

  • Remove the power cord from the electrical outlet and move your microwave onto a workbench or sturdy table. For cabinet-mounted microwaves, pry off the decorative grills or front panels and remove the mounting screws. You should then be able to slide the microwave out of its mounting bracket.
  • 2 Open the microwave door and remove the glass tray. Use a flathead screwdriver or putty knife to pry off the plastic cover on the inside of the door. Work around the edge of the glass until the cover slips free.
  • 3 Remove the door by pulling the mounting pins out of the hinges at the top and bottom. You may need an assistant to steady the door so you can have both hands free to work with the pins.

  • hope this solution help?
