SOURCE: My electronic deadbolt is unlocking

This lock has the capacity for two different codes. Did you program two codes into it? If you did not, there may be a factory code pre-programmed into it and it may be the center button. Make sure you have good batteries and program two codes.
Good luck,
Gary

SOURCE: kwikset smartcode deadbolt newly installed unlocks when lock button pushed. I have taken batteries out and reset few times with no success.

"I have installed your Powerbolt, but when I push the Lock Button, it unlocks? What should I do?"
First remove the cover on the inside of the Powerbolt unit. On the right hand side under the batteries, you will notice that is says "Door Direction Jumper". If the cap is mounted on Prongs 1 & 2, carefully remove it and move it over so that it mounts Prongs 2 & 3. A is right handed, B is left handed.
These instructions will work just fine for you:

Notice that the above is a .PDF file type. That means that you need to have Adobe Reader or similar installed on your computer to view it. So if you are unable to view the file, download (for free) and install Adobe Reader first. You can get it here:

These locks are made to work on a door which, when you stand outside and face it, has its hinges on either the left-hand or right-hand side of the door (= door "handedness").
The jumper controls that for the appropriate installation. Yours is set wrong!

My lock did not have jumpers, but adjusts itself automatically... You have to hold the lock button in (on the exterior side) while you insert the battery pack - the deadbolt will cycle in and out, then beep a couple times. You'll be holding button for maybe 10 seconds.
I have to say while this step is included in the instructions in a big red box, it says nothing about why or what its doing, so I imagine many people miss this...

My model 6101LM keyless electronic push button inside does not work

Hi,

Please double check that the battery brand has been approved by the manufacturer. Also, please check with manufacturer that lockpad does not have issues based on external temperature as the locakpad functionality could change in times of hot summer or freezing winter.

If all else fails, please schedule a repair with either Home Depot or Lowes.

Thank you.

How to change baterry o schlage be365

To change the battery on the BE365, you need to remove the inside cover by removing the two screws (one above and one below the deadbolt knob). Be careful to tuck the wires inside the lock so that they will not be crimped when you put the cover back on.

Do you here a beep and see a flashing light? Usually if pressing the Schlage button unlocks the deadbolt, your installation was done improperly. The cam on the base plate must be vertical and the bolt must be correctly installed.

You will always be able to lock and unlock the deadbolt with the inside thumb knob.

I hope this helps.

Shlage keypad dead bolt unlocks when you press the

Does my Schlage BE365-CAM BE365CAM505 have a feature that allows it to automatically lock the deadbolt without having to enter code and turn the dial?
Sort of. The lock has what is called the "turnlock" feature. When enabled, you have to only push the Schlage button, then manually turn the dial. When disabled, you have to enter the user code, then turn the dial.

To enable/disable this feature, enter your Programming Code--press the Schlage button--Press 7.

Each time you do this, you toggle between enabled and disabled.

Videos for installing and programming can be found on this page:

When I install new batteries it won't stop 'squealing'...what could be the problem? Ugh - I can't even use it like that!! thanks!

It was a Garrison - I've since learned that the problem was it was screwed a little too tight and was pushing against the circuit board. I took the back off (where the batteries are) and loosened the screws a little and the squealing stopped!
