SOURCE: The outside temp sender won't work. We put new

Simple, the instructions state that when changing the batteries on the outside temp. sensor, you must also change the batteries on the main clock unit. I had same problem when I changed the sensor batteries until I pulled the batteries from the clock and it reset fine. ( Sensor batteries first, then clock batteries. ) The clock will reset to atomic time overnight so don't worry if it doesn't read correctly at first.

No outside temp in de display only - - -in thedisplay i see the room temp. No outside temp. I have checked the outside transmitter end i see the red flash.

my unit tells me to insert fresh batteries into the outside sending unit first. then insert new batteries into the inside receiving unit. after the outside temperature shows up, then can reset my inside unit's time, choose F or C and
switch channels. please try changing channels if your
outside temp doesn't show. you can do both units in the house then put one outside after they work properly.

I have a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox and had my cluster repaired for the temp gauge. Now it works but will not drop the entire way after it cools down. I was told that this is a temp problem with GM vehicles...

From what I just read about your vehicle,it has a history problem with the gauge, may be the coolant temperature sender or the gauge,it says the whole cluster will have to be changed to be fixed if the gauge is bad, found some forums and all had gauge problems.Right above the coolant temperature sensor is the coolant temperature sender, this is what sends the temperature to your gauge, the sensor sends a signal to the computer, they may have replaced the wrong one, here's a link to the sensor, the hole above it is where the sender goes,it's a one prong part, the sensor is a 2 prong part.A lot of people don't know that there are 2 types of coolant temperature gauge sending unit and sensor.

I'm still asking questions but here's how it works...temp sender sends signal to the computer which in turn sends signal to the fan. Only time fan is on full time is with a/c. when in motion, you do not really need a fan because vehicle speed allows more air flow than fan can provide. When driving slow (relative to ambient temp) fan comes on as necessary. If fault is temp sender, wire, ground or real;y the computer sees the incomplete circuit. you need to check to find what isn't allowing power flow to fan. (computer receives low voltage from sensor and completes relay ground...relay sends power to fan. IGNORE BUG PERSON that replied...that is not a fix ya expert...its a spammer!!!!
