Make sure you have pressed the sync button on the garage door opener( usually close to light on actual opener) before trying to sync it with your vehicle. The manual for the opener should be more specific and also the vehicle manual. Typically you just have to be in range of door, press the sync button on the actual opener ( not the hand held opener). Hold you sync button on vehicle for 3-5 seconds until light flashes.

The first thing you should do is make sure it is plugged in and then plug a lamp into the socket to make sure you have power.

If you have the correct remotes for your opener you can program them like this:
Locate the smart/learn button on the back of the motor unit. Press and hold the button on your remote while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button. Do this for each remote.

The shaft on these garage door motors are not direct drive systems. You'll have to open up the box to see what the actual problem is. I have had stuff like this happen where a gear just slipped out of place.

Here is a link for a parts supplier. I don't know your model but it looks like most of the Liftmaster worm screw gears and drive gears are plastic so it's possible that one of them has cracked.

hello. The programing is the same for both gate openers and garage door openers. Basically you will push the smart button on the gate opener so that it is blinking and then push the button on the remote while it is in close proximity to the gate opener.
