I have 2 TVs, a Sony Bravia model KDL-40EX600 and an Element model ELEFW328. I purchased the former in 2010 and the later in 2015. The HDMI ports in both TVs have gone out. Not sure just when for the Bravia, hadn't used the ports since 2011, yes I blew out the dust. The ports on the Element went out about 7 months ago. I have tried unplugging both sets and holding down the power button for 10 seconds, no dice. Any other suggestions?

Installing a new software update will this issue. All you need is a compatible USB flash drive. Go to support on Sony.com. Look up your tv model and if there is an update, just follow the instructions to install it yourself. I have a KDL-46S5100 and this worked great. There is a problem with the processor. The only way to resolve this issue is to replace the main board. It is called the A board in your TV.

There are two for this model and the correct one will depend on what your serial number is.

I have a Sony Bravia model KDL-46s5100 that had the same problem. All HDMI ports stopped working. I don't know why this works but unplug the TV for about 30 sec, then plug it back in and hold down the power button on the tv for 10 seconds. Like I said I don't know why this works but it worked for me. Good luck.
