SOURCE: error 6A80
Error 6A80 indicates that "an error occurred in the APP motor
during purging operation". Either the sheet feed unit, purge unit, or logic board could be at fault.
I'd recommend bringing the unit into your local canon authorized service facility for complete diagnostic and repair.

That error says there is something jammed in either the purge assembly or the sheet feeder on the back not able to turn. The purge assembly is on the right where the printhead parks for cleaning.

Supply Guy,
Here is the solution.
I am going to describe 4 buttons on your printer. Then, I will tell you what to do with these buttons to resolve this error.
1. Look for the Black & White selection button (large white button w/ black diamond on it).
2. Look for small pink button (bottom left corner of your printer control panel).
3. Look for the OK button (big button in middle).
4. Look for the On/Off button (top left).
OK - here we go. With the printer turned off, do this:
1. Using four fingers, one on each of the four buttons, press them all and hold them down for 10 seconds.
2. Release the On/Off button - but keep holding the other 3.
3. After a few more seconds the printer will turn on. When it does this, you can release the other three buttons.
So, to summarize, you press all 4 buttons for 10 seconds, release the power button and wait for the printer to turn on. After it is on, let go the other 3.
Your error message should go away. If you don't hold the buttons all down simultaneously, the printer could go into Fax mode; just turn it off and try again.

That error says there might be paper scraps stopping the purge assembly on the right where the printhead parks, or something fallen into the slot where paper goes stopping the paper feed assembly. You just have to inspect closely with a flashlight before taking to the shop.

Try to follow these steps:
Try keeping the paper only in the bottom tray (there's a tray in the bottom) Try pulling any paper out of the top and just close that top tray. Open up the head so that u can see the ink cartridges and turn the printer on and off and maybe it will center itself again. If it's still not working (even if lights aren't red and print head wont align in the center) try manually moving the head back and forth like 18 times so you can lubricate that rail in the back that's holding it. After that, re-turn it off and on again.
hope it will solve the issue, do rate the solution if got help
