I have an acer iconia A500 tablet
Android 3.0, upgradable to 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
[my comments in braces]
but get no sound coming from the speakers[say internal]only when headphones are connected [3.5mm or usb?] how do I get sound back coming from[internal] speakers without using headphones[what are they usb or 3.5mm?]
answer #1 unplug the head phones, bingo. easy no?
first off there are many ways to get sounds (audio) paths
the internal speakers (tiny and lame inside)
external amplified speakers (battery power or powerpack) 3.5mm
external ear buds (3.5mm jack)
external USB head phones (use USB power)
and speakers. (usb jack) uses USB power or battery or powerpack)
USB high end 100watt SOund codec systems, endless ways and very very poweful with even 7.1 sound. (im sure not you)
so we cant see what you are doing at all ,
and not telling if all USB devices are unplugged first.
3.5mm means the industry standard round 3.5mm phone jack and is pure analog signals and very very weak. phone jacks are.
USB are rectangle jacks. serial data fast , digital
im not sure but android may have a sound setting that shuts off
internal speakers. just look.
if using USB sound devices of ANY kind always say that first.
ok, as they can be a horror, to get working. (software)
The headphone jack needs to be replaced. Sound gets switched from speakers to headphone there. When the headphone plug is removed from the tablet the connection inside the jack is lost.

You can download the User manual @ http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers
From the box, Select -> Tablet -> ICONIA Tab -> A500 -> Confirm Selection.
Download & install the USB drivers for your Tablet. As for the User's manual click on the "Document" tab to download. (If your USB drivers is already installed on your Tablet, not necessary to reinstall the drivers)
Could not tell you whether your video camera software is supported by "Android 3.0 Honeycom" OS.
As for the USB connection to portable storage device "transfering or adding files" it is more or less similar to that in PC/laptop system.
Hope it will help & thank you for using Fixya.

This device was created and produced with Android Honeycomb (3.0). There have not been any Windows XP drivers created for the hardware in the device.
Let me know if there is anything else I can help with!
SOURCE: My ACER tablet (ICONIA
Hi,
Welcome to Fixya. I would like to know if the wifi works before? If the laptop was able to detect and connect to a wireless signal and the Iconia won't you can check the warranty of the Iconia and call acer and they will be able to replace the unit. This is a common issue with Iconia that some of the device has a hardware wifi defect. You can also refer to the link below and see what happen with their Iconia and was able to talk to acer for a replacement.

SOURCE: how do i get an activation code for netflix on an acer iconia a500 tablet?
There are two ways to view netflix either browser or using the netflix app. Both use the same system og login and password. You will have to contact netflix support to get help with that. Either way will use the same account login details. They are pretty quick on the job for helping out with these things.
SOURCE: put a password into my acer tablet A500 now i canrt remember it and cannot use the tablet
you need to go to any repair centre to flash the tablet.if you can do it then try using phoenix
