The CBS app is a streaming service and CBS now is charging cable providers for it. It is no longer free or available on some providers.

SOURCE: i purchased a SANYO-DP46848 42"HDTV.

I just got the same exact one, when it searches automatically the first time it doesn't look for digital channels. go to Menu>manual channel search>cable. it will look for all possible signals and will take forever probably. the free digital channels will take several seconds to switch channel to channel, but they're there! They will show up on your screen as "DC 91-2" or similar. you can switch back to regular cable channels with the input button, you just cycle through all the inputs. hope that helps.

SOURCE: CBS station is gone. Only shows instructions for converter box.

I live outside the Kansas City Missouri area. I was having problems receiving one station. I decided to raise my outside attenna to get better reception. In doing so, I totally lost reception on another station. I only moved it up about 6'. I had to move the attenna back down to get that station perfect again. I still cann't get the station I'm missing but I found out that moving the attenna up/down or side to side can make a huge difference. I live about 50 miles from the stations I receive. Good Luck.

SOURCE: this tv is not connected to cable or dish, but has

How far away is the CBS station? Are there any obstacles that would block the signal (say new construction)?

What channels do antennaweb.org or tvfool.com suggest you will get from your location? (Antennaweb is more conservative and assumes an outdoor antenna.) Do you need to rotate your antenna to get one transmitter or the other? Indoor antennas are more likely to get interference and direction issues.

You may want to restore your TV to the default and then rescan the channels. (This may or may not help. It usually helps more with scrambled information than lost channels.)

I hope this helps.

(good luck. I've had issues with my CBS and Fox affiliates (sharing a transmitter location). At first it was clearly my TV and the reset helped. Now I have no clue as to the cause - the external TV antenna gives a strong signal on the other TV. The problem TV says the signal is bad and this is the closest transmitter and antennaweb says I should get it easily. Even pointing the antenna straight at the transmitter doesn't help.)

Testimonial: "to cindy wells, thank you so much. Your advise got my problem fixed. So grateful!!!"

Can you help me cancel my cbs all access subscription?

Nope.

That is strictly between you, CBS & your
Bank/Credit-Card Company
(they can help BUNCHES).

We are an all VOLUNTEER ... FREE service...
(loving to give advice...).

My advice is to avoid all subscriptions...
Prescriptions sometimes are quite useful

(vital for a few of us)...

Comcast was one of my worst subscriptions... Sadly it could only be cured by U-Verse
(also problematic ... about half the troubles
and HALF THE COST... In my humble opinion).

I obviously don't practice what I preach.
