Is this on a washing machine? Sounds like it’s more of a control problem.

John Deere 175 Hydro wont stop cranking, but wont start. Turning key to off and releasing break wont stop it, just continually cranks until I remove battery terminal

Disconnect solenoid control lead (small wire) and see if it stops. If it keeps cranking, likely solenoid has failed (contactor closed or jammed bendix).

If it stops cranking, disconnect the "S" terminal at the ignition switch, reconnect solenoid control lead and comment here with results.

My washer will not run when I use the hot water it will run on warm and cold but not the hot water please help

Is water running in when using only hot selection? If not, either screens on valve or hoses may be stopped up with trash, or solenoid on valve for hot water may not be opening. If latter is true, replace valve.

My dishwasher goes through each cycle until the rinse cycle. at that point the water will not drain out of the diswasher.

Most likely your line is stopped up. Take off water line under sink and rub it into a bucket, If water runs out it is stopped up in the line. If it does not run out, it's the solenoid that lets the water run out you have to replace.

Stater won`t stop

The starter circuit is completing somewhere. Have a look at your start button and/or solenoid. It could be mucky contacts, if so give them a clean.

KitchenAid KUDP01DLWH6 dishwasher filter clog

Follow the main water supply line. It goes to a solenoid valve which is normally located front left side under the dishwasher.

1. Turn off the main circuit breaker for the dishwasher.
2. Turn off Water supply to the dishwasher.
3. Remove lower front panel.
4. Remove Water supply line from solenoid.
5. remover wire connections from solenoid.
6. Remove 2 mounting screws from solenoid.
7. Take solenoid valve out.
8. Look inside the valve where the water supply line was connect to, You will be able to see the filter. it is just a screen and you can easily clean it.

Water wont stop dispensing Nuova Simonelli JAZZ Espresso

Hello. We had the same problem, after about 20 cups, the hot water would not stop running out the steam nozzle. The problem is either a faulty Solenoid or a blockage stopping the solenoid from closing. We ran the steam for 5 seconds, then stopped, then steam, then stopped, then water, then stop, and it seemed to clear the blockage. Alternatively, you may need to get the solenoid replaced.

Aprilair 760 Humidfier will not stop water flow to EV panel

If the water continues runs nonstop even when the heater is turned off, you might have either a bad solenoid valve or a bad humidistat. Simply disconnect one of the two low voltage wires going into the unit. If the water turns off then your problem is most likely your humidistat or the low voltage wiring. If the water continues to run even when the low voltage is disconnected you have a defective solenoid valve.
Good luck.......

My water never stops running into Aprilaire 112

Disconnect the two yellow wires. The water should stop. If it does you have a bad (or miswired) humidistat. If the water does not stop the solenoid valve is bad. These valves are known to be expensive. You might want to consider replacing the whole unit.
Good luck

No water going to humidifier

Easy fix: Check the solenoid. Turn off the power to your humidifier and the central air unit. On the side of your humidifier is a brass solenoid. It can get clogged with lime and calcium. Most videos and instruction manuals tell you to replace the solenoid. No need if you can turn a wrench.

1. After all power is off turn the water off to the humidifier and disconnect the top line water line at the nut.

2. Disconnect the bottom line water line that will go to your humidifier.

3. Take a Philips screw driver and remove the two screws that hold the solenoid on the side of the plastic housing of the humidifier.

4. Leave the wires connected unless you need more room to work. If you disconnect the wires then label them with tape (colored) so you put them back on correctly.

5. In the inlet or outlet water pip of the solenoid is a trainer that may be clogged. With a paper clip pull it out and clean it. If it’s clearly clogged then stop and put all back together. That may have been your problem.

6. If it’s not clogged then it may be clogged inside the solenoid.

7. The nut on the end of the solenoid is silver. Take it off and the magnet (main power unit) will slide off.

8. Notice the flat head screw post on the end of the solenoid. Turn it and remove. Be careful as a small spring loaded plunger is inside.

9. Take apart and clean all parts. You should be able to blow air in the intake water line tube and it go out the out water line tube as well as were the plunger hits in the center of the solenoid. If not then it’s clogged.

10. If clogged then just soak all but any parts with rubber or plastic in a small white vinegar solution for a couple of hours to eat away that lime. If it’s not clogged then you probably have a bad solenoid.

11. To check and see if the solenoid is bad just put it all back together but do not re-wire the solenoid to the humidifier.

12. Turn on everything without the wires going to the solenoid (turn on meaning put power back to the unit.

13. When the system is running as it should without the humidifier and solenoid wires attached check the two lead wires with a volt meter for 24v. If you have 24v then you have a bad solenoid and need a new one. If no 24v then you may need a new control panel.

Hope this helps you out.
