Where is the water filter on a Maytag MBR2256KES refrigerator?

SOURCE: Water leaking from my maytag

Where is it leaking from? It could be either a clogged drain or perhaps a water valve. Give me more details and perhaps and help a little more. Also, There is a few details on leaky refrigerators at:

SOURCE: bad smelling water

The water lines are contaminated with bacteria and/or mold. This is a problem with many refrigerators. You need to turn off water and disconnect the feed line and filter. Mix 4 ounces of Clorox(R) in 1 gallon of water and pump it through with a NEW garden sprayer. You can remove the wand and clamp it onto the water inlet. Activate the dispenser while you pump the bleach through the system. Once bleach starts coming out the dispenser, vent the garden sprayer (de-pressurize), Let the bleach sit for 15-20 minutes. Re-attached water using a brand new filter (do not use the old filter and do not put bleach through filter). Run water until no chlorine odor (it can be a while). This process needs to be done at least once a year.

you may have dislodged a sensor or perhaps you may have blocked your water line somehow... im not sure about this specific model, but just try having a look at what you did and see if there are sensors around there.. and make sure u havent dropped anything in there wich may have clogged the lines... lets hope its not your solenoid that has gone, sounds unlikely though you never know

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back/bottom of freezer..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curtain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the fridge is because the water has been leaking into the freezer and down the vent into the fridge instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you have any other question.
