I am assuming this model is like almost all chain drive models. My last one was chain, my current is belt, but the adjustment is very very similar.
The part that slides along the top rail and attaches to the actual door is also attached to the drive chain. That attachment is almost always were the tension adjustment is. It should be a bolt with a spring around it as I have drawn the box around below. Yours may not be identical, but should be quite similar. Tighten it to add tension to the belt.
CAUTION: Over-tightening will put excess stress on the bearings which will cause them to eventually fail. The chain can sag slightly and not cause any problems, just tighten it enough to keep it clear of riding on the bar (or other issue like slipping).

Remove the cover and check the main drive gear. It is most likely stripped.

On the aduster screw where you tighten blade ... is there an extra nut? I think you need to screw that nut tight so the adjuster screw cannot rotate from vibration.

Make sure the bar and chain are being properly oiled, the chain is properly sharpened and adjusted just up to the bar lower edge, but not so tight that you can't turn it by hand. Check the bar's nose sprocket for free turning (with the chain off). I'm assuming that this is not one of the auto-tensioning saws. Make sure the chain adjust 'tang' has dropped into one of the large holes at the drive end of the bar before tightening. You may need to remove the bar and chain to inspect the mounting area for obstructions. Also, start the engine and observe oil oozing out of the side port where the bar fits up to. Hope this helps!
