The TV used to work on occasion, and when it didn't it would only take a unplug or two to get it on. the past few months the problem has progressed taking more and more plugins, now it no longer starts and goes to a very light lit screen but has no picture. LED on the power board flashes 6 times upon plugin.
I would ask these guys.

When the lamp fails in this unit, often the thermal fuse opens. The error code is 6 blinks. To replace this part requires a great deal of deal of disassembly.

Thank god we purchases the ADVANCED extended warrenty. This tv has been nothing but problems.
Fuzzy picture, picture shutting off after 20 sec coming back on and now blog of colors shut off never to come on again. 7 blinking red lights on the front. Waiting for the repair man again.......

this is common issue with this model and through your troubleshooting is tied to y main board. blinking led on logic main in normal operation. when replacing y main always good idea to replace y upper and lowe buffer boards as they complete a circuit and sometimes replacing one without other could cause additional failure on remaining boards
